Hello world, Melody here! Just incase you missed our bio my bestie and I have absolutely no shame when it comes to fangirling(or general freaking out) of any kind. So this short story will kind of help you to get a sense of our crazy and if you have had any similar experiences we would love to hear them. So let's get this party started!
Back in March we visited Disneyland together for the first time and, even though we had both been there several times over our life time, I decided to walk Miss Aurora to the point of exhaustion. Before the exhaustion had set in completely we spent a day in Disneys California Adventure park. So I got everyone up an hour to early(oops, I guess i really should have read the tickets better... Or the website.... Or the print out of the schedule, but hey can you blame me its Disneyland for goodness sake!)and we made our way down to the gaits to await our glorious day of awesomeness!
Before we left we decided that one day we would wear our Doctor Who shirts into the park, and may I just say that if you ever have the opertunity to do this we highly recommend it and you will see why in a minute. We started our day off in Cars Land whith the all the new rides and such and while my mom(yes my mother) was in line to get her picture taken with Mator we met our first Whovian. He was one of the "handlers" for Mator and he came over and started talking to me about how his(awesome) TARDIS watch matched my TARDIS tee shirt and the Aurora came over and we talked about favorite doctors and favorite episodes and it was great but he did have to get back to work so we carried on with our day.
Throughout the day we met 6 other super fans such as our selfs and were feeling pretty great. Toward evening we decided to go on the Tower of Terror again so, ya know the drill, went through the line. We got to the point where you get put into rows and the guy working the ride looked at my shirt and made a quote from Doctor Who. Me and my amigo start giggling like idiots and the plastics behind us read my shirt, because for once they weren't getting attention from the cute ride operator, and make the comment *read in valley girl voice* "I don't know what that is!". At this exact moment a dude in a Stetson walks by(not even kidding!) and the RO(ride operator) says the famous quote, "Stetsons are cool" and continues with his safety speech. He went on to make reference to bow ties, the wibbly wobbly timey wimey quote as well as many others keeping this up for several minutes. Now for the best part, as the doors to the ride are closing he looks directly at the two of us and does the quote from Blink! You know the one, "most importantly don't blink, don't even blink! Blink and you're dead!". Boom! Doors close rides great we yell "Geronimo!" As we drop and our lives our complete. He even squeezed in one more quote before we got off the ride!
Needless to say we giggled for HOURS after and still talk about it to this day. I mean this guy works the Tower of Terror at California Adventure and took the time to quote 12-14 Doctor Who lines just for 2 girls. Disney Whovians are the best in my openion and this will stick with us our whole lives.
Thanks for listing to me ramble keep it nerdy- Mel👾
